Sales Tax Weekend 2012 (NC & SC 8/3-8/5/12)

July 31, 2012

Back to school tax holidays are underway! North Carolina and South Carolina are having a tax-free weekend on specific school supplies this weekend, August 3, August 4, and August 5, 2012. All retail stores will honor this, but be aware that the savings may not be as high as other weekends. In Charlotte, the savings on each eligible item is 7.25% if there is no further sale on the items.

Check out which items are eligible or the dates for other states with this 2012 State Sales Tax Holidays chart from The Federation of Tax Administrators.
