March 19, 2012

If you haven’t had a chance to read the “Hunger Games” book before the movie comes out this Friday (3/23/12), and your library has a 3 year waitlist (mine is slightly longer than that!), you may want to pick one up this week. Here are some of the best prices nationally for the book for where to buy:

Amazon kindle edition
(for reading on a kindle, computer or smart phone) $5.01 with immediate download or free with Amazon Prime

Amazon Hardcover
$9.48 with free super saver shipping over $25 purchase or free 2 day with Amazon Prime

Amazon soft cover
$5.01 with free super saver shipping over $25 purchase or free 2 day with Amazon Prime

Target hard cover – check your local ad to see if it’s listed for $12.59. Target.com lists it higher at $16.19 with free shipping over $50

Walmart hard cover $9.45 with $0.97 shipping or free site-to-store by 3/23

Walmart soft cover $5.00 with $0.97 shipping or free site-to-store by 3/23

Barnes & Noble nook (for reading on a nook, computer, or smart phone) $8.49 with immediate download

Barnes & Noble softcover $8.99 with free shipping for orders over $25 or free pickup in store

Books-A-Million softcover $8.96 with $3.98 shipping or free express shipping for club members (no in-store pickup ordering like Barnes & Noble)

Note – theses links are for the original book, not the movie companion, movie tie-in edition, or the world of the Hunger Games.

As always, check yard sales, craigslist in your city, and your local used bookstore for the Suzanne Collins best selling paperback or hard cover book as well!
